GENERAL WEDDING CHECKLIST

12 months before
  • Break the good news to family and friends.
  • Decide on your budget.
  • Pick a suitable wedding date, time and venue.
  • Discuss your plans with our wedding specialists at TRAGICSTUDIO.
  • Inform important guests, officiant and secure the bookings and travel plans for important guests.
  • For the bride, start thinking about which gown would suit you best.
 9 months before
  • Prepare Guest Lists.
  • Select your bridal entourage and their outfits.
  • Select a colour scheme, the decor, layout and menu with our wedding specialists.
  • Meet with your officiant to finalise ceremony details and religious requirements.
  • Appoint a photographer and videographer.
  • Decide on entertainment and place a deposit on your selected DJ, entertainer or band.
 6 - 8 months before
  • Select the bride's and groom's outfits.
  • Brief your attendants/groomsmen/bridesmaids/ emcee on their responsibilities and confirm their outfits.
  • Set aside blocks of hotel rooms for out-of-town guests (we will accommodate according to budget).
  • Confirm the guest lists.
  • Schedule a photo session.
  • Start working on your wedding invitation card designs.
  • Finalize details with the hotel.
  • Select wedding rings.
 4 - 5 months before
  • Have a trial before selecting hairstylist and make-up artist.
  • Book hotel room/ canopy/ HALL for your wedding DAY (WE have attractive packages).
  • Make travel reservations and start planning for your honeymoon.
  • Select a florist to decide on flowers and floral arrangements.
  • Make appointment for medical examination.
  • Shop for wedding rings.
 2 - 3 months before
  • Establish a beauty routine and start going for regular facials.
  • Take care of yourself, eat right and start exercising.
  • Pre-order door gifts.
  • Send out invitation cards.
6 weeks before
  • Confirm reservations for out-of-town guests.
  • As you receive presents, be sure to update/add items to your registry list.
  • Schedule for a final wedding gown fitting.
  • Purchase a guest book.
 3 - 4 weeks before
  • Finalise wedding ceremony programs.
  • Consider some dental work to obtain a beaming smile. Cut back on tea, coffee and tobacco.
  • Visit the hair salon for a final pre-wedding hair cut.
  • Draw up a schedule on wedding day timing, details and responsibilities.
  • Call up guests to confirm attendance.
  • Give final head count to the hotel, confirm set-up and menu.
  • Finalise details with photographer/videographer, florists, entertainers and make up artists.
  • Make rehearsal arrangements.
  • Finalise honeymoon plans.

 1 - 2 weeks before
  • Finalise seating chart and place cards.

 The Day Before
  • Rehearse the ceremony with officiant, emcee and wedding party.
  • Sleep early and relax.
 The Big Day
  • Do eat something; you'll need the energy.
  • Bathe, fix hair and make up 2 - 3 hours in advance.
  • Start dressing 1.5 hours before the ceremony.
  • Ensure photos are taken as planned.
